I have T-Mobile and just started driving over the road about a month ago. T-Mobile is ok driving local and I live in the Seattle-Tacoma area, but through Idaho, Montana down to Arizona and back to Washington there is absolutely no reception.
Does anyone have any advise on the best carrier to have?

I drive through WA, OR, Montana and Idaho. I have AT&T holds its own... except you know, on the Lookout and 4th of July passes, lol. Verizon does the job too. Those cheap carriers(i.e. Sprint/Tmobile) are cheap for a reason.

Verizon. Hands down. AT&T is not far behind. Sprint and T mobile are worthless if you're running OTR.

Verizon for sure and make sure you get a data plan of 10 gigs or more because your reception will be so good you could burn a gig in 4 days just surfing the net and watching a couple of you tube vids

Verizon wireless in the western States. Att is better in the more rural areas though.

Major cities and highways? Verizon kicks ###.

If you need connectivity in the boondocks, Verizon has a much more developed network. AT&T has been playing catch up ever since they ditched their old analog network, and bought out Cingular to get back into the game.

I have Cricket, bought by Att recently and it uses ATT networks. Much cheaper than Verizon. 10gb for $60 and they now run a promotion of 20gb for $60. However, I can not use this promotion, because I would lose my family discount. But if you only need one line, thats a hack of a deal

CHEAP is the key word. I'll pay for my connectivity, because its lifeblood to my business.
