Hi everyone -- I've written a few articles for various trucking publications and am currently working on a new subject. Specifically, if you could change anything regarding trucking (legislation, job requirements, duties, pay, etc.), what would it be? Greatly appreciate any feedback. Feel free to let me know if you'd be interested in being featured in the article. Thanks!

Thicker and longer than Tolstoy's War and Peace.

    Well over 1,200 pages.

As of 2014, Mexican Nationals can now haul and pickup freight in the United States. You can kill that for starters.

Pending legislation that would limit all truck speeds to 65 mph. You can kill that if it passes.

Hair drug testing is being discussed. That is just a "money grab" and a tax on the trucking industry. If that passes, you can kill that.

I am sure I will think of some more stuff later.

Lot's of stuff need to changes, but one thing that i would like to see is dispatchs and load planners do a better job.

If things were plan the right way most of the drivers would not have to be away from home weeks at a time to make a living, if they plan and do whatever they can to maximize drivers time versus milleage everybody would win from this!

Of course money could be better management & dispacth & planners have to understand that the time away from our loves ones has a price!

There are trucking publications? We don't need no steeking writing on the bathroom walls.

The old saying "You can't fix stupid" applies here.
