My past two carriers kept all permits, IFTA, registration, insurance, inspection and repairs to major DOT inspection items like brakes, etc.

I always kept a copy of my authority on the first page. Thought it looked kinda professional.

Also when ever I got stopped I stuck my license and med card in the binder, sometimes it overwhelms them when they come up to the door and you hand them the binder and say its all in here.
