    175 miles vs 250 miles.

    Only road I've been on through Adirondack Park (other than boring old I-87) was RT 374 from Plattsburg to Chateauguay. I did it empty in the winter. Not the best choice but if I were you, with only 27,000 lbs and especially this time of the year, I would pick a route through the park.
