Where Are You Continues, Again.....

Twas a three day. I transfer with hot shot checked.
One run out beyond Hwy 6 on I-10. But with an extra stop on it and using a tarp. And one normal transfer.
Got the stuff needed to change oil and some slightly more expensive than Diesel Cleaner to try and slow down how much diesel gets into the oil.

Six straight nights stuck in El Paso Texas. Funny thing is I love this town. But gotta go make the dough. Going to take three loads up to Montana. It's the perfect time of year to be up there.

I'm not putting on the miles like with Suzy's. That's worth something.
Freight is slow all over the area. Fedex guys are down to 32 hour weeks.
We are clawing and scraping for any runs we can get.
For a while the checks are probably not going to be great.
Still beats the stuffing out of working for Suzy's!

Five today. 1267# Bollore to Industrial Dock. 267# Bollore to World Trade Houston. Two transfers Bollore to Air France and a transfer I got from Joe Bollore to Cathay Pacific. Less than 200 miles on my truck!

 

We have a kind of an Oscar the Grouse named Ryan.
He pulls a 40' trailer with a 3500 Dodge. He got a transfer at 4pm.
Grumbled and complained. Gale got on the phone with Jerry and I said I'd do it.
Got to check off Rush on the ticket.
Ended up with 4 transfrers. One Hot Shot and one Rush.
Had I still been Suzy's a day like that would have brought home MAYBE 30-40 bucks. We'll see what Pink Panther does.

 

got a check only $41 less than a pretty good Suzy's check. Truck made $500 something to get it.
The Suzy's check needed a Buck under $800 to do it.
To say I'm happier here would be the understatement of the year. 6 so far with 15 minutes to go before Bollore closes.

 

Yesterday I replaced the seal in the rear of my transmission. It should lose less fluid now.
Drained about 4 gallons of spooge out of the engine.
Put a gallon of 40wt and a 2 gallon bottle of 85/140 gear oil. Have fantastic oil pressure! As long as the oil.is good the engine doesn't get so hot.
Today we got to go get a new faucet for the kitchen.

 

Got oil and oil filter changed on my personal vehicle last Friday... after that, noticed super wet under engine... and today, after running less than 5 miles, was losing a lot of oil... gauge was down to zero and engine was starting to smoke... not sure where leakage is coming from... Will go back to oil change place tomorrow and hopefully is just some quick fix... I got an appt to pick up a rental small box truck tomorrow morning and a car carrier already reserved... planned going to MD and hauling my car... but I will need my car working fine... was hopping to be in MD on Tuesday morning for medical reasons... and now this...
