Where Are You Continues, Again.....

2 in my truck. 1st one was rejected because they had two Hazmat cartons strapped to a pallet. But the airway bill said two cartons and the bottom one wasn't marked as such. Went back to Bollore to get that fixed and loaded up 4 screened pieces and Gale escorted me to the Airline. Then got rid of the two. Had lunch.
Needed the 4500 for size of number 3. Got some wait time where it picked up. Didn't need the 4500 for number 4 but I delivered 3 to Bollore and loaded one pallet for a rush transfer to Turkish Airlines.
And 4 it was.

 

Got the third or forth best check in the last 2-3 years today. A little north of $900. My Sister is blown away by it. To say I'm happy here would be an understatement.

Yikes! Putting the Pumpkin back in the Diff of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport nearly did me in. I ain't EVEN as good as I once was. We have axles and brakes to deal with when the hot part of the day is gone or tomorrow.

 

So far today 1453# Bollore to Air France in my truck.
4553# Bollore to World Trade Houston in the 4500.

 

between a 4 day week and generally slow freight I don't think Fridays check is going to be great.

 

I was right. Check was the worst one here so far.
But it still beat many of the checks I got from Suzy's.
Something has got to give. Gale had 8 to maybe 10 or 11 tickets after driving the 4500 all day.
I had three and one of those was because HR didn't want to. I think I would rather drive the 4500 if that is going to be the norm....

 

Inexplicably they hired another driver today.
A guy that was with Suzy's with a fairly new 2500 and about a 12' trailer. In other news Ryan came to get his trailer out of the yard. And he was still trying to get the wiring right when I left. HR and I both don't think we needed another driver at this time. We'll see....

 

5 today. All in the 4500 flat bed. For size but not weight.
I really need a flat bed of my own!

 

Saturday last I changed my oil. Got 5 gallons out but it only takes 3. Used Walmart brand gear oil.
The thing smokes worse than it ever did even with thin oil. So today I got a gallon of 40w Rotella and Tractor Supply gear oil. Need to change it before a cop nails me!
