you need a different truck

 

The bad news is the Tractor Supply stuff didn't stop the smoking. The worse news is now my truck is best rolled across a scale. it has a good transmission and a good rear end. And that's about the extent of it.
And I don't have close to a down payment.
Life just gets better and better.

 

Spread oil clouds all over Houston.
First one was to be out 10 a little past Hwy 6.
But after it was too late and I was committed to the second tollbooth it was called off. I was in NW Houston.
Second and first actual pick up was Wholesale Electric 3 pc for Bollore. Then off Richey St. and Galveston Rd. For 3pc for Bollore. Had lunch after dropping at Bollore.
Then a Hot Shot get docs here get freight there and deliver to United. Then get a screened crate for Cathay Pacific, a small carton for Air France and an 861# pallet for American Airlines. Dropped the last one at 5:05.
Did approximately 118 miles over getting to the office and back home. kind of a lot compared to usual.

 

Spread my smoke around Tomball, Deckers Prairie and Magnolia. Picked up a 25# carton in Magnolia. Got to a tree outside Bollore at 12:28. Sent a text about that to Jerry. Got a text back almost immediately to Hot Shot by 1pm three pieces 1200# to Emirates. Pulled up in front of Emirates 1pm. Nobody had any problems with the time. Went back under a tree outside Bollore and had lunch. Dropped the carton. Picked up two long skinny crates and one regular for Air France.
Dropped them and that made it a three day.

 

At least it waited until the work was done.
The 4500 pitched the pulley off the alternator.
And broke the belt. Could not get hold of the Boss or the mechanic. Nick who pulls a gooseneck pulled up in front of me and we got it up on the trailer. Got it to the Yard. 4 delivery tickets today. Tomorrow being Friday it ought to be a barrel of monkeys fun....

 

Traded a couple texts with Jerry. Until I hear something I'm staying at home. Sucks but that's the way it goes.

 

Oh goody. I'm trying to save every penny towards a newer truck. And today my truck has to have an Air and a Fuel filter. It told me this near home after doing 5 deliveries today.

It was the "fix" I did on the fuel pump wiring.
Messing with the alligator clamp fixed it?
Did a whole two today. From what I heard tomorrow should be busy....
