Oh goody. I knew it would happen eventually.
The truck has gone belly up.
At least two cylinders are not doing their job.
I've got $400 saved up. Not sure what if anything that will get me. Can get a few more hundred off of parts off the truck. Can sell a couple of .22 rifles for another couple hundred. None of that stuff will let me work the rest of this week. It died with a load on it. Nick came with his trailer and we got it loaded. Went by Bollore to drop the load, went by the office to leave paperwork.
And Nick brought the truck and I home.
Tra la tra la...

Well. Everything that is mine has been removed from the dead truck. We didn't get out looking yesterday.
We are going out this morning. -
Rocks Thanks this.

Nothing yet. Saw a 2011 F150 supercab that would be just fine. But he was talking 16k. He said he'd be on the lookout for something about 10k. Everything else we saw was up chuck ugly!
chopper103in Thanks this. -
Ugly will still earn If the innards are good
Rocks Thanks this. -
But if the outside looks that bad, and the inside no better, I can't really believe the innards were any good.
Particularly at $900......chopper103in Thanks this. -

The poor old Dodge left today. Dad got $1000 for it.
I drove into Houston in the Montero.
Did 6 airport transfers and two other runs in the 4500.
Should be pretty good for a three day week. -
Today I drove a very nice 2006 F250 4wd but with hubs so not quite as terrible as Dodge 4wd. Come to find out they wanted 18.5k for it. Then drove a 2000 Chevrolet 2500. Vortec 5.7 182k miles. They want $6500 for it.
If we can jump through all the hoops we are going to get the Chevy. Extended cab 8 foot bed. A few chips and dings but it looks so good until I knew it was 2000 I figured it for 2005 or so. Motor is clean without being detailed lately. Only flaw is slack in the mechanism for the drivers seat. I figure I'll get the seat where I want it and bolt it solid. It moves an inch or more fore and aft.Rocks, chopper103in and radioshark Thank this.
