Hence... Many truck drivers live in a truck and earn $40K per year while their family learns to live without them.

i deliver food to restaurants, Some are in Love's, some are in Flying J's. I'm going in the back door, so I see the worst of it.

    I fuel at Love's.

you dont believe someone should merit a raise first?
I let my job performance speak for itself
then i either was working for a honorable man
    or I moved on

WOW did not know I was the problem thank you for informing me. You sound like no should be paid a fair wage. While the owner of pilot and flying can own a NFL football team paying his players millions why can't afford to pay his truck stop employee a fair wage. These are the people making him millions.

the fact that the owner of the Flying J has millions bears no relationship at all to how much any employee should make
I think I will tell my boss you have lots of money I want some

Who says they have to work there? Don't like it, find another job. Oh wait, they can't find a better job bc they have no skills-except for the skill of cleaning your sheet stain off the back of the toilet!!

count the number of mega fleets that use the J and you'll have your answer.....

or better yet sit in the parking lot and watch the circus for an hour....

It never use to be this bad..

That's the answer right there as to why the pilot and flying J, I'm going to throw loves in there too, are the way they are is because of the mega carriers. They hire any one to fill seats and don't care what kind of impact that it has on the industry. Most of the new generation of drivers don't care about the industry or take pride in themselves, look at all the piss bottles laying around and the fact that they use the fuel island to take care of personal needs instead of using it for what it was intended...to get fuel! I stay away from those three fuel stops at all costs, I leave it for the trash to use.

Mega fleets fault ? How about the individual ? Sure, people need jobs however it should come back on the driver not a company.

The mega fleets are the ones that have dumbed this industry down to the point where any clueless idiot with a pulse and a CDL can have a job..

they hire these people and they are a very large part of what is wrong with the industry today..

It never use to be this bad...

MJ1657 and Windy M Jenner Thank this.
