I can't see there being an issue with a colostomy bag. Plenty of them drive trucks.
Anonymousproxy, driverdriver, HotH2o and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm going to say yes.
I saw a guy in Massachusetts with one leg fueling at a fuel island, then get in his truck.
Saw a guy empting his urine bag from a catheter in the bushes at the Petro in San Antonio.
You have the right to petition the regional director, of your region, of the FMCSR for a hearing, and demonstrate that you can safely operate a CMV, and they will give a certificate saying such, it has a name. That's if you have to go that far.
If an MD has released you, that probably rubber stamps it. I'd ask where ever you plan on taking your physical, tell them the situation up front so you don't waste more time than needed, and ask them what endorsement from what MD they would need to authorize your card. Maybe they will take your doctor's and call it good.
You must first be turned down for a card, refused, to petition the director.
They have a name for it, the clearance & cert they give you, when someone with a disability can demonstrate they can work, I can't think of it, it's in the FMC in the medical section.
Yea man, if you can work, you can work.
I just got done and this is my Friday, so i'm a little punchy, i'll find that reg for you though.
God bless you sir.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
And here I thought cholecystostomy was a misspelling. Looked it up and learned something new today.

Why not remove the gall bladder?
-
That's my question. I had a stent placement in February, and they are waiting for a safe period to stop the placax
-
Yes it will pass. I know a driver who has to have one all the time.
-
I couldn't find anything disallowing it in the reg's. I am going to take my DOT physical next week
