I fully believe you on the tolls. I am new to this industry and enjoy it so far. I had 2 friends that I had graduated school with go to TMC and both lasted for 4 weeks after they finished training both are putting in notice next week because they are tired of being shorted on the reimbursements on tolls...around 200+ dollars a week for 4 weeks x 2...Funny though because people talk alot of crap about Prime and I can say this for sure every single thing I was told in the beginning still holds true no problems at all....Period. good luck with the new job.
why I quit TMC (long)

Hey Carter, you won't miss flatbed when it's -0 outside with a 40mph wind. Did dry van for awhile and everytime the weathers bad I wish I still was.
Good luck on the new job. -
TMC is trying out a new toll program. Don't really know the details yet, just what I have read on the website. -
lmao # this industry defines people by what kind of trailer they pull behind their truck. -
oh and they paid me my last paycheck in full. so +1 for TMC.
Richter Thanks this. -
Seems to me with TMC its a crap shoot.. I just talked to a guy that lives 10 mins from where I do and has been home every weekend for the past 7 months and is making good money.. for me, I have had 4 quality days home in the past 6 weeks and spent a majority of that running in the northeast.
In MY experience with TMC, they do not live up to the dazzle they sell you on to lure you in.
A little birdie told me 12 drivers had quit already today.. they can't hardly train them as fast as they are loosing them.. They sent out a survey recently to get a feel for what drivers think. Wonder if they would ever post the unedited results????? i doubt it
I have been with them since last Nov and finally turned in my truck today... I can do better for myself and my family... -
TMC: $40,000/yr, took home about 63% of it
new job: $60,000/yr, taking home about 80% of it
dry van is taking some getting used to, but you know what was awesome? not having to go to the ATM before I left out on Sunday. I am home on Monday night as well, delivered in MI last night, reloaded in OH for RI for Wednesday. -
just remember to check bridge hight.

lol the only program they seem to be testing is how long they can get the drivers to pay the tolls for them. I hope they get it together for the sake of the guys that like it there. As of right now im glad they told me I couldn't work for them because of my 23 yr old felony possession of stolen property charge, even if I had been at my last job for 13 years and only had one other before that. Oh well I hope everything works out for everyone.
