TMC Up to date orientation thread. 2013

Ok done for the day and did some "homework". Day one wake up breakfast was pretty good not bad for $3.18 got on the bus got shuffled into a class room where you are to log onto your new tmc drivers acount and work on paperwork for employment , emergency contact, taxes and ect ect. You are also instructed to take 3 test one on general knowledge , another on basic math ( it was pretty tough, but again there's areas on why I drive for a living lol) and a 390 test. While doing that you are grouped to do another dot physical ,drug test, and the physical ability test. We had to pick up the tarp on our shoulders correct way and don't worry Richard Simmons will show you how lol. Put it on the trailer, pull your self up on the side of the trailer place the tarp on the coil remove it , drop it on the deck then put it back to the starting position. Not to hard beta few struggled , if you are in shape and a some what active man you shouldn't have too much of a problem. Then we broke for lunch it was okay ,meat product, potatoes vegi and all smothered in gravy. It was okay and best of all free! After lunch you are given time todothetest and forms , wwe also have classes that have to be done by Thursday or you go home so use your time wisely as you are on your own to get everything else. We also seen reps from Allstate insurance and the bank come bye and give us there sales pitch zzzzzz lol. Then you are bused back to the hotel , i dont think we have lost anyone yet but i will know come tomorow morning. the experinced drivers were having the harder time with the physicsl ability test since i can tell they have been out of shape from driving Walmart tomorrow after class and I'm glad I need some foods for diner. But tonight it's off to the Chrom Cafe for some chow. Have a good night guys and I will try to answer any questions you may have.

He's pretty funny and straight forward.

 

Nothing new dor day 2 more classes and paperwork , death by power point and some really bad training videos , other than that another good day , half the class is in class late till 2000 for simulator and backing time, I will be late tomorrow night.
