That is a really good deal for some of those old timers that are there and have been since day 1 of TMC!

That is an option I'm keeping open. I was surprised when they said they would make an exception for my truck to come into the fleet as an owner/operator. They typically wont let a truck older than a 2009 in and mine is a 2005.
TMC was very good to me while I was there and we parted ways the same. Never say never, but I'm doing great on my own.

I know one of the O/O over there has a 99 flat top 379 and my trainer had an 04 379. That kind of sucks they wont let anything older then an 09 in. Riverrat, where are you leased onto or are you under your own authority?

I am leased onto Woodstock out of Footville Wi. There are 8 of us O/O and the owner has a driver hired on to drive one of his trucks. It's nice being part of a small group and was a big adjustment. I was so used to the "company driver" mentality of go, go, go to be home on the weekend. The first week out I left on Sunday, home on Wednesday. Second week I left on Sunday, home on Thursday. Third week left on Monday, home Friday morning. I was voiced my concern of being home so early the first week as I felt I was leaving money on the table. The owner just said "we don't run that hard because we don't need to. You made good money right?" And I am making good money. It doesn't even compare to when was with TMC.

    milskired Thanks this.

Also, TMC did tell me that they would make an exception for the age of my truck because of my work history with them. They tried to keep me and even said the door is open if I ever want to come back. Classy Company in my opinion!
