there seems to be a lot of "I thinks" and "I heard that.. " in a lot of posts and replies here.. Here goes...
i have been driving for TMC for three months now. Here is what I know.
TMC loves prior military! One they are are doing the country a favor by hiring those that have served.. Two they are hiring individuals with proven track records of integrity and dedication.. Three they are getting incentives from the government to hire you!
Yes they will hire you or at least give you a chance as long as you have no felony convictions.. No DUI/DWI convictions and you have or will have a valid CDL. Of course they have to to be hiring In your area. Walking on the grass.. Well it sounds stupid but they spend thousands of dollars every year keeping the lawn the way it is.. They say don't walk on it.. Just don't. There are sidewalks everywhere! I don't walk on the grass at any business.. So why walk on theirs.
Time at home.. There is a chart on TMC website that pretty much tells you how many weekend to expect to be home. Me personally.. I have been home every weekend except the last one.. But I told them I wanted to run. So I was out.
money well I can tell you that there are a lot out there that aren't making a lot if money. I am not one of them. I average $900 a week take home but I run out my 14 hour clock every day! I'm running on fumes, eyes blurred and dehydrated every day! Those with experience knows what I'm talking about!
I have had crap weeks where I just want to shut down and scream and I have had weeks that I am just as happy as a deer in a cornfield! So far I am very happy with my decision to work for a company that has a reputation that we do!!

My my advise check out all your options! Drive around and speak to other drivers.. Truck stops are everywhere!! You just haven't seen them!! Trucks are all around you.. But you just haven't seen them!

Any more questions please feel free to PM me!!

Joel Barzinpour and TruxRus Thank this.
