    Yes, they're flatbed companies.

Seems that Maverick has a lot of pros but have automatic transmissions.

TMC has great looking trucks but seems like there is a lot of negative stuff on here.

I wish I could be more help, they are both in the forum under trucking companies. Check on here there seems to be a lot of info.

Yeah I have been reading all of the forums for both on here and else where. Mavericks does really stick out to me as a good place but 2 drawbacks IMHO.. Autos and Midroof sleeps. Sleeper seems a bit small. also looks like you went under a low bridge and left part of it there. LOL

TY. I will check them out. I just want to start somewhere making a decent living 35-4K first year, and get good training and experience. And not get shafted too much or often.

I'm a TMC driver for 18 months now NO apu on any truck I have seen. Good training company. Lots of BS nitpicking rules. We have pretty trucks, pretty slow 62mph old ones average over 800k. Mine is going on 937k. Too many electronics lane departure buzzes when close to the lane edge, vorad stops cruse and sets jake if your less than 300 ft from anything. New ones also have braking "assist" that apply brakes without driver input. There are traction alerts and hard braking alerts. Now last month they have started to install 2 way camera's to watch you and the road. Any more questions?

TY for the info. So what is company policy on idle time? Are the cams on even when your shut down relaxing/sleeping?

I am sure I will have plenty of questions before its all said and done. I am looking at Mav, melton, & specialized too

While i dont work there anymore ill give you my two cents. tmc didnt haul much hazmat when i was there. In a years time i hauled 2 loads with hazmat, one being plarcaded as the other was limited quantity. Never hsd twic with them but didnt hear a heck of a whole lot of guys goin to ports. And Canada is hit or miss, right time, right place. iMO, those credentials with the black and chrome arent worth it as far as going to those places often. But if i remember right, i think you get paid extra for simply having them... correct me if im wrong.

We get extra points for having them. By the way twic hazmat passcard are extra points. Points for mileage out of route revinue Monday morning delivery and a few others are calculated once a month. Pay percentage can go up or down based on total.

    class7pup and SteelPhoenix Thank this.
