I'll be starting orientation on 4/28. Anyone else going to be there?

Congrats!!! I finished up earlier this month, what a relief to be done with all of that. It was a lot of fun but I want to get rollin. I'll be driving down, Leaving NY on Friday making a stop to visit some friends along the way and plan on rolling into DSM sometime Saturday afternoon.

I'll be leaving out of ohio on a greyhound bus and will arrive Sunday evening. I'm excited and a little nervous. It was down to tmc or maverick and i was approved for both but tmc was my first choice

Any advice for orientation? Anything I should know? I'm excited to start with tmc they will be my first trucking company. I've read a lot on this forum and I feel I am making a good choice. It was tmc or maverick but I like tmcs trucks better lol

I might see you there... I'm coming in Saturday to do the trainer class. Not sure if we have to go back over securement or not...

Another day gone, lots of information to take in about load securement and how to handle each load. I hope it gets easier as we progress through training here and with our over the road driver trainers.

I like the fact that every load is a challenge and you have to think about the safest way to secure the load. I am not regretting my decision to try flatbed as my first trucking job. I definitely found the right company to teach me.

Pray that you dont get in to a truck with Tommy. Every other instructor is pretty chill, Tommy's got what you might call a short fuse. Other than that, the 45 can be done easily with out the dump valve, get real good at that because it's the only backing maneuver you're going to get tested on when your back from your five weeks.
