Ask a gypsum driver who he applied for first. Many of them applied to TMC and even went to TMC training, but failed out and then went to work for gypsum express. Not saying its a bad company, but since many are TMC dropouts, why not try and go for the read deal first.

I don't think u know what Ur talking about gypsum has the best flatbed drivers in the US they have the lowest csa score and the highest pays they treat u like a person not just another number in a truck fogging a window like to tmc does I could not be happier with working for gypsum and never gotten payed some much to do the same work

TMC does tarp a lot. I've seen them tarping even when it is not necessary.

That said, plenty of people will say TMC has the best securement training around. I'm not one of them, but that is what is claimed on the road.

In my opinion, there are much better companies you could look into. TMC is not the only flatbed outfit that trains students or rookie flatbedders.

TMC tarps when its needed, or when its wanted by the shipper/receiver. We dont tarp when we dont need to. Their securement exceeds anything the FMCSA or the DOT require by a significant margin.

TMC has 2500 power units with 215 million miles traveled
Gypsum Express has 670 power units with 47million miles traveled.

sure would like to know what Gypsum starts drivers out at. Its a shame you cant find out without calling them first. Being that its milage pay, it wouldnt amaze me if it was less then 35cpm. Whats a starting Gypsum driver average per year? 45-50k?

Out of the 5 loads I ran this week I only tarped one lumber load and one lowes load but they already had it pre tarped and pre loaded when we arrived. Drop and hook pretty much. But we're in summer I'm sure you tarp more in winter

I am looking into TMC and Gypsum. TMC offers .44 where Gypsum is .45 but Gypsum also payd
.37 empty miles. Which tells me they run empty a lot. TMC said they don't run but 60 miles empty.

Tmc will pay more overall on percentage, their mileiage is only advantagous of you are on john deere and even then some of the deere loads pay more percentage.

How can u say that's not true. I think u need to reread what I wrote. 98% of the loads I'VE seen were tarped. Not saying 98% of all their loads are tarped. Re-read driver
