I don't see a whole lot of TMC experience threads, so I figured I would start one for myself. This is based from entirely new to the trucking industry, I do not know what to expect other than what I am told or read from others experiences. I will do my best to update at least every couple of days. Detailing my apprenticeship with them. I will go over orientation, yard training, load securement training at first then assuming I am selected as a driver, I will move over into driver training, and how I am progressing.

Keep in mind everything is based from a stand point as a new driver to the industry with no known expectations or experiences otherwise. I will try to answer any and all questions as best as possible, there are several individuals on here that are active that have answered many questions from myself as well as others. I am sure at some point that those drivers will more then likely chime in with their takes and give advice on how to approach situations. I welcome their input as their experiences are a valued asset.

I saw you got hired on with TMC earlier today. Congrats!
I got declined from them earlier this month. Dunno why. Must not being hiring in my area. Everyone else is saying yes, good driving record and stable employment history; leads me to only believe they're just not hiring here.
    I'm over by Cleveland.

    Anyhow, keep us updated.

Cabwrecker, Im sure if you call the recruiting dept and ask to speak with Brad or Gus they will give you the reason why. They have both been up front with me on reasons why I wouldnt get accepted. It took them an entire month to get the board to approve my application due to an accident I had in May of 2013 on my motorcycle.

I appreciate the tip, but I'm just gonna move along. Lots of other companies willing to talk. I never had my heart set on TMC, they were my saftey for Maverick, who I ended up 86'ing anyhow.

    Thanks, though!

    Gunner75 Thanks this.

    Again, not overly concerned.
TMC was never very high on my list to begin with. I'm sure they're an okay company, just not my cup of tea.

Crap, there's another "Richter"? That'll be confusing when I'm working at 0200.

    Gunner75 Thanks this.
