I can't say anything for TMC but lots here can. As for Boyd Bros, I can say that my bf has made decent money with them. They start out at .38 cpm after training which is $500 for 5 wks. They just started a new program that if your MPGs are up and compliant on all logs you can increase your cpm .04 and add speed to the governor on the truck. Training is with trainer in passenger seat and trainers are company drivers not lease guys trying to help with their truck payment.

TMC gives you the option of millage of percentage. From my standpoint, I'll never take a mileage based job if it's not paying at least .45pm. Now that's entirely based on my time with my trainer, but seeing how much the load pay based on both, people are crazy to be on mileage, unless your on a dedicated route with TMCs John Deere decision. I had a pre hire with Boyd, and I can't knock em. They got decent equipment, a decent home time policy, but after doing my homework, if come down to TMC for me. Mostly because of the home time and pay. There are other added benefits as well.

Do your homework, make up a list of questions. As a recruiter all of them. I can tell you this, I've not been able to poke holes in anything I was told by my recruiter, however, what Boyd told me seemed a bit out there, and they never really seemed interested.

And it very well could've been, Boyd didn't seem interested when I applied so I never had the chance to verify their pitch. If it's worked out for your bf then there is no reason to leave. I wish him the best of success in the future.
