My truck cruises at 75 all day....I average at least 780 miles a day.....your lucky if you average 650 miles a day in a 62 mph truck. Delivering my loads earlier means I get loaded earlier means I deliver more loads means I get turn in more miles means I make more $$$$ driving a 75 mph truck vs a 62 mph truck....and I still have time during the trip to stop eat shower and do whatever because I'm allready way ahead of schedule......moral of the story. ..any way you wanna slice or dice it....a faster truck is a more productive truck

Faster truck = less mpg (most of the time) but if you don't pay for it, who cares, right?
edmund seems to be the super trucker type. Fingerless gloves, red bulls and coffee spewing from his cup holders cause he stays up all night playi call of duty in his bunk, and is running on a mileage lease purchase, pretending to be an owner operator.Gunner75 and westtndriver Thank this. -

I personally prefer percentage loads. No need to rush place to place. Less stress overall.

Percentage is good

And yes, I do wish I could do 70. Just when needed, but still wish. I do envy the guys who pass me, but I'm still making #### good pay checks.

Full fledged member of the left lane gang over here...lol

Faster trucks are def. more productive in my own opinion, and less of a nuisance being you can do the speed limit and pass if you need to. Probably why these mega carriers are pushing for a mandatory speed limiter on all trucks to level the playing field so there is no competition. Of course I am no longer otr now, I am quite happy driving a water bottle here in the oil nd gas fields making 18 an hour, in my own bed daily, working the same 60-70 hrs a week with OT pay and ungoverned peterbilts.
Edmund Thanks this. -
You are most likely very correct.
