Top base pay for mileage is .41/mi then add a penny maybe if your qualify for a fuel bonus. I am in talks with another company right now considering leaving TMC because of the mileage pay. We took a pay cut (mileage based) when the trucks turned down to 62mph ( 33mi?day) in 2008 and have not seen a compensatory move yet. (65mph vs 62mph is a 5% cut).. they did a joke of a .01 raise last yr. Now I see that % drivers are averaging around .48/mi? Hmm doesn't sound kosher to me. I average about 2600mi a week here on boats, but that puts me in Canada about 70% of the time in the worst weather and roads you can vision... and ALL the drivers up there drive like Texas 4-wheelers... Guess its finally time to take my 1,3million safe miles and 0 CSA across the street maybe

Why not try Deere? They don't have to switch divisions when shutdowns happen. At least I haven't. I mean, back hauls can suck, but at least you aren't driving on horrible roads empty 50% of the time. I'd much rather be loaded. More opportunity to make money.
