If you think about it, $52k a year is, on a 5 day work week or 5 loads a week, only $200 per day. $1000 per week. Not that hard to do in the right area. I'm dedicated and I average around $1100 per week.

So your saying that the job is pretty good? And are those numbers year round or do they vary?

Well considering i am fresh to TMC i can tell you exactly what to expect. Ive been solo for 5 weeks now. And I can tell you this. The amount they are telling you is a gross amount, prior to taxes. Thats an average of about $1000 a week gross. And what he is saying is true. TMC pay is based on whether you are percentage pay, or milage pay. If you are mileage pay with TMC you are insane. percentage is where its at. We average anywhere from 40cpm to as high as 65c permile on percentage pay at starting 26%. (thats for the loads that ive been hauling.) Most of our loads are next day deliverys, so its easy to turn loads quick. We are performance based verses tenure based. So if you are willing to work for it, you can be at the top level after a few months. Read my thread here in the TMC forums. Ive been trying to find a reason to tell TMC that they are full of #### but Ive yet to be able to.

I will tell you this, TMC is what you make of it. If you are willing to put in some hard work, and bust your ###, it will pay off. And it pays off quick. Ive only had 1 week where I didnt gross $1000. It was my first week out, I pulled 2 loads because it was a short week, and they were trying to keep me close to home for that week.

For orientation, look at it as a 2 week job interview. Someone is always watching. Be professional, honest, and come in with a willingness to learn, and youll do fine. Yes so far I am home every weekend, my FM and I talked and he is of the mind he will get me home every weekend that he is capable of doing so, but understands that sometimes I would like to stay out for an entire weekend, as well as I understand that he might not always be able to get me home as much EVERY weekend. There are always going to be times where I might get stuck out. Your 5-6 week training period will be good, they have great trainers, they will have the trainer next to you in the seat for the first few days. Once they start feeling like you got it, then they will back off some. One way to look at it, is if your trainer is able to sleep in the seat next to you, your doing good. Mine was sleeping in his bunk within 2 days. TMC is a starting company, but they have a rewarding place for drivers that stick around for the long haul. Yes they are classified by the FMCSA as a megacarrier, but my FM knows me by name when I call him, but Ive only called him a couple of times, usually when its been a problem with my loads at the shipper. He doesnt bother me, keeps me moving with loads, so im happy. My loads arent the best paying right now, and I Can only assume that it will come in time. If you got any specifics feel free to ask, or read through my thread i linked above. I answered pretty much every question there as well as BattleBorn, and Milskerd and a few others.

I have heard a lot of great things but with all good there's always bad I've been told they will fire you very easy over anything they can. Have you guys ever seen this. Also was told a guy was at orientation and was fired so they kicked him out of the motel and he was stuck there have you all ever heard of any of that. Also me living in ky do you think I would get local-ish runs or spend my weeks going to California or new York etc. And is it true about 46+ weekends off a year
