So I saw my first TMC trucks on the road today. Not 1 but 2 not even a mile or so apart moseying down I-95 South in the Chester area around 1500 EDT. Any chance 1 of 'em was you, Richter? First of all, sharp looking rides y'all. First one was a 579, I believe, pulling an empty trailer, next was a 300 series with a load of shingles it looked like. Was driving on the northbound side of 95, so I only got a quick look. Possibly looking to change careers in the next couple of months or so, and have been researching TMC for a month or so. I don't have any trucking experience nor a CDL, but I do have many years spent driving ambos. Just looking for a change of pace I guess. Not afraid of some hard work, and I do like the structure that TMC has in place. Any tips or nuggets of info y'all have would be greatly appreciated....Thanks again everyone, and be safe out there......

Boy, if you live in NJ and don't see TMC trucks, you must live under a rock. I hit every corner of that state when I ran for them. I had a good experience in my 18 months there, and only left for a local dedicated gig. If you're not a BS artist nor afraid of work, they're a good outfit.
heloguy13907 and lcfd15 Thank this. -
I've only really started actively looking for them in the last month or so. May have seen em and never really "noticed" them before...too busy avoiding all the other crazy drivers in the area lol. Gotta give credit to you guys driving rigs in the Northeast, its crazy enough for me and I'm only in an ambulance.....lmao -
Plenty of TMC trucks up and down 95, and even more on 295 and even the NJTP. As JPenn said they are a decent outfit. I only worked there about 6 months or so, driving local now with a company 3 miles down the road from me. Read up on the threads here, lots of information of everything TMC. A few current recruits as well. So read up and if you got questions don't be afraid to ask. -
Richter doesnt drive a traditional TMC style Peterbilt. He drives a Freightliner since hes an O/O.
heloguy13907 Thanks this. -
Didn't know that...my mistake....I just knew he's from around here...
Thanks for the correction.... -

First off, sorry about the lag in posting. Lots of things going on lol. After reading many of the posts on here, especially Gunner's, I have gone down the rabbit hole and started CDL school this week. Have my permit and med card, looking forward to starting the hands-on stuff... Also have a prehire from TMC, having the school send info to them so they can finish the background stuff and hopefully get an orientation date sometime in late February or early March.
Thanks everyone for the great information here. Stay safe out there, and see you soon -
