Let me start by saying that in no shape or form this thread is meant to compete, imitate or even resssmble Gunner75's "My TMC experience" post here on the TMC forum.
I have to say that I have read more than 30 pages of Gunner75's thread and I consider it to be super informative and it's been very helpful to get me to decide to go to TMC.
Now that we got that out of the way...
A little bit about myself:
I am 27 years old, have a beautiful almost one yr old son (birthday is 01-01-15) and a fiancée.
I have been a tow truck driver for AAA for almost 3 years now driving both wrecker and flatbed tow trucks.
Got into the idea of trucking about 2 yrs ago when visiting my father in law in the Dominican Republic. He has been flatbedding down in DR for about 26 years. He showed me some basics on shifting, brakes and even some overall mechanics of the truck.
I graduated 12-01-14 from New England Tractor Trailer Training School (NETTTS) in Pawtucket, RI and was very interested in TMC from the first time they came around school.
I am scheduled to go for orientation in Des Moines 01-05-15, and am just a roller coaster of emotions right now!!!
My son and fiancée whom I never really separated from them for more than a week or so are gonna be the toughest thing to keep my mind off.
I am super very worried on how am gonna be able to make out moneywise given the fact that I live in Providence, RI and I have no clue on how good a freight line or route this is...
I do have to mention that I applied for 5 companies (TMC, Roehl, H.O.W, Schneider and Prime) and they all called me back which in turns makes the decision a little harder.
I will not lie about the fact that I am right now in the worst economic shape of my whole life, bills are late, food is barely around at home, and I need to go to a company that I have the biggest prospect of making decent money. The rest I mentioned only one pays the most decent, but bot really my fav cup of tea.
My plans are to keep updating regular on my personal journeys at TMC and hopefully get some feedback if questions were to arise.
Til' later...

So I've noticed. Trying to make a living in trucking coming to the industry as a rookie is really hard because no good paying local company (for the lack of a better term) will give most rookies a chance and I really want to get the training they have to offer.
Thanks for the good wishes brother!!Chinatown Thanks this. -
Good luck, and keep the updates coming!

Keep us updated, I run for myself but I run with a lot of TMC drivers whom all seem to have nothing but positive things to say. Sure they have gripes but hey thats trucking not TMC. Good luck and welcome to the family.

TMC looked like a good Co. when they came thru school (NETTTS grad 12/19/14 Bridgeport, CT) if I wanted flatbed and could leave the state (medical waiver).
TMC equipment looks nice when I see them out on I95 when I was going to school.
Keep us posted
