Well, I got my approval on Thursday and will be starting at TMC on April 13th. I'm getting out of Nursing which I've done for the last 7 years. I'm excited about the change and look forward to seeing the country instead of four walls all day. I'm changing careers because I'm an LPN and they want me to upgrade to RN but I can't afford to stop working another year and a half to attend school, pay tuition and put undue burden on my wife to carry the load. They aren't even offering a pay raise. Just a "you've got to upgrade to keep your job". I've kept my CDL for the last 16 years and now I'm going to do a 160 hour CDL driving course at the local community college starting March 16th and finish on April 10th to refresh my license. Its all paid for by my past ACT scores from high school which is awesome. I'll post my experience as it progresses and look forward to any comments anyone may have to post.

I wish you the best of luck nd TMC is not a bad choice but i would also consider Melton Truck Lines as well. Be Careful out there////
Medic Man Thanks this. -
Does TMC allow trainers stay awake the entire time the student is driving or is it more like team driving where once comfortable with the students abilities they sleep until their turn to drive? I would appreciate if anyone can share any info on this subject.

You may be able to find it in TMC forum not sure. IMO you should do all the driving and stop after your time is up. I would think you would learn more and if you need help the trainer is sitting beside you & not sleeping.
