I am about ready to pull the trigger and pick a company. TMC keeps coming to the top of my list.
They advertise;
average rookie makes $52K their first year.
home most weekends.
Is this true or more recruiter lies? I've done my research I am aware of their higher pay .40 CPM (compared to .32 from some other companies) or %, promised home time weekly, clean trucks etc.
Thanks.
Does TMC live up to the hype?

The drivers ive met who are with tmc seem satisfied.
-
Btw .40 sounds a bit low for a flatbed company... I think melton is .44 and mcelroy is .46 to start.
I'm pretty sure many of tmc drivers go with % of the load which can be higher than cpm -

ask them what there driver turnover rate is. b safe out there

i am not saying he lied to you but the information i have states its about twice the number that he told you. i have stock in heartland express and there shareholders report states there driver turn over is about 109 % and they were happy with that,and they based there numbers against several other iowa based carriers. i am not saying go for heartland just stating there numbers,no way i would recommend heartland to anyone. lots of luck in your choice

Obviously not, they spend a lot of money on advertising and "recruiters." There's no driver shortage, just a shortage of drivers willing to work for so little compensation.
