Does TMC offer company sponsored cdl training?

Does anybody know if TMC will put you through cdl training school? I want to work for them but I can't afford 6 grand to go to training on my own, and my credit isn't the best in the world so financing is out as well.

I read their website and it says they will reimburse your tuition but doesn't say anything about paying to send you to school.

Also, if they don't do it do you know of another flat company that does?

thanks

I do not know what there current policy is. A year and a half ago they were willing to put me through CDL School. This past week I talked to a driver that was sponsored and he said they made you sign a two year contract. Call recruiting and ask. You will have to be persistant, they don't like to return calls.

TMC seems to be undergoing a few changes. I'm not going to get into what all the rumors are, but it seems to be rather intensive. Coupled with slow freight, anticipation of further economic slowdown or even recession, I have taken a hit in my paycheck for several month and it doesn't seem to be improving.

I think this is something we're going to see a lot of, till things get better. Not sure this the best time to get into trucking, but it's not to good in other job fields right now, either.

If companies don't have to fill as many seats, due to slow downs, they can be more selective, also, and forgo running people through their own schools.
