TMC truck questions

Hello,
I am a new member researching TMC. I have some questions for TMC drivers. I have read almost all of the TMC threads and didn't see too much on the trucks other than they are nice, clean and well stocked (The way I like them!). I noticed that the TMC website states that long haul drives 379's. Does TMC have specific models for different divisions or do you just get issued whatever is available at the time?

Do you prefer the classic or aero model and why?

What kind of fuel mileage difference is there between them?

Anyone driving a 388 yet?

Thanks.

TMC will assi gnyou a truck from those that are available when you finish your traing.

The majority of trucks are 379 short nose Petes. There are 387's in iventory and KW's. Long Nose Petes were assigned to Long Haul Drivers. I was offered one not long ago and turned it down.

I drove the Long Nose Petes at orientation, trained in a 387 and drive a Short Nose Pete, which I prefer.

There are some 388's in inventory. For a while, Texas drivers would not be assigned one because not enough truck stops had the Ultra Low Sulpher Diesel Fuel. I think may have changed.

You cannot have an inverter in a TMC truck so you are limited to what accessories you can have in the truck.

I have a short nose 379 Peterbilt and I love it. I was long haul until I recently got a dedicated run up here. Long haul always gets the 379's because the 387's are heavier.

I trained in a 387 bubble truck and I hated it. Now to be fair I liked the amount of room it had when sharing the space with a trainer, but I did not like driving the 387.
