Any Northern Ohio TMC drivers out there?
Hello, I just recently got my CDL License and am ready to go work for TMC. My orientation starts 12/15 in SC. I live 20 min from Cleveland, is a realistic to say I will make it home on Friday evenings? I heard it is a good area for possible future dedicated runs once you get some experience.

i just finished in south carolina on friday 12/05 and i am located in nw ohio and they told me i am in a very good lane for them. I see TMC all over the place up here. they offer 46 out of 52 weekends home if you want. Call a recruiter and they can tell you more about the dedicated lanes in that area. If you need any info on your trip just let me know i will try to help the best i can.

You Fleet Manager should be able to get home early on Fridays most of the time. It is just a question of weather Fridays or Sundays are more important to you. To get home on Friday your FM tries to get you a load delivering near home Friday morning and then you just reload and go home. The downside is that if you load near home Friday at noon you are going to have to deliver 500 or 600 miles away on Monday morning, so that means leaving early in the afternoon on Sunday, or possibly even before noon in some cases.
It is a trade off, so take your pick. If you expect to be guaranteed at home every Friday by 5pm I am afraid you are going to be dissappointed, but it is possible some of the time.

you would go 2 weeks of orientation and probably 5 weeks out with a trainer. After you get in your own truck you start earning reg pay and medical, dental, vision kicks in after 90 days. You start earning incentives the min you pull out in your own truck.
