Howdie-Do from down South here in N-C. Currently in school. We had a visit last week from the TMC recruiter. Sounded great! I'm very interested and have been trying to find out more about the company. Have seen a couple of postings here and there, which have had bad things to say about TMC. But on the other hand, I've seen a lot of postings, which have said a lot of good things about the company. I've even pulled into a truck stop and talked with a TMC driver. He was a "newbie"--just with them less than 3 months. He had nothing but good things to say. Of course, the equipment is great! I also like the percentage concept--making a portion of what the company makes instead of just mileage. I would love to hear from some of you--both new drivers and those of you, who have been behind-the-wheel for TMC for sometime. I'm making a big jump in careers---and---I surely don't want to go from the "frying pan" into the "fire!" I want to start with a good/great company and stay with them instead of having to change from one carrier to the next to find a good spot. Thanks in advance for any of you, who will provide any input!!!

i just heard from maverick and i am on a 2 month waiting list for school. tmc is willing to put me through school in kport,tn but cost is extreme and after reading those posts, i am a bit leary of them. i know there is good and bad in all companies, but i don't want to be there slave either. guess we have to pick the lesser of two evils.

kingsport, tn.....hmmm..where do i start......very small town, 5-0 are butt heads and you'll get plenty of mtn driving experience. why don't they send you to s.c. instead. a friend of mine went to tmc 2 years ago and went to columbia, s.c. i think it was.

i thought by this post you were going to school up there to. then where would you go to school then ? i didn't even know tmc had a terminal or training facility in kingsport. it's a really small town. there is only 2 companies there that i know of and they are both on east stone drive across the street from each other.

Is TMC going to do home depot loads for cardinal out of norwood,or maybe a shingle account. just curious,i have hauled out of both places in the past. Cardinal isn't a bad deal, but has lots of stops on flatbeds tarp and untarp alot but you can be home almost daily or weekends off for sure. They pay good money also, out at university ave in Norwood ,Ma..
