Yes they are switching over to Automatics. Since they are owned by USX, and the employees are either driving old total trucks (which are being retired), or driving USX red trucks.

Although it will make our job easier, IMNSHO it takes away some of the skill and mystique of being a good driver. Not everyone can double clutch, double up and double down, swing through 18 gears without a bobble, and think that it's all in a days work.

Automatics will make it easier, but much less 'fun'.

Not if you have to feed it. It's like the truck of the future. You have to fill the DFU under the hood, they drop some borritos on the floor of the truck.
