I called a week or 2 ago. They will hire students. You must have 44 hours logged on the highway from your school. If you are in a 3 week school you won't qualify.

I had heard at one time they were part of the US Express family, not sure if this is fact at this point with all the buy outs and changes in the industry. I do know they run automatics and are very picky about the amount of hours you get in school and your placement in your individual class, as Rug stated.

for the love of mike man!! don't do it!! worked there for 7 months and it was impossible to get home.i needed medicine and they still wouldn't get me home.and if you don't mind getting under 2500 miles go for it.but i don't know a single driver there that is happy.never met one in all the time i was there.and yes u.s. express for all intense purposes owns them now. the stock changed hands and the company is now changing. the trucks are all auto shift, but there are a lot of repair issues as well.

My husband is thinking of going to Total. Does anyone have any information that may be valuable for us before we make a decision?

Such as how are they to run for, is it just in time freight, or do you actually have time to make it at a reasonable speed and time. How are they when it comes to idling?

Thanks for the info,
