Run away? From truck driving or Transport America? I don't really have a choice - either way... I can't get a job with any trucking company, with two Preventable Accidents on my DAC. I've tried CR England, Schneider and even PAM. I've been told to check with local companies, but I figure it's no use. So now I'm unemployed, can't get a job, don't qualify for unemployment compensation, 54 years old, and don't have a clue what I'm going to do for income.

well after several tough weeks by no fault of my own, i believe my time at transport america has come to an end, problems in order go like this,

1.) third trainer never called to tell me his truck broke down, 15 hours away from where i was, end result lost 2 days of pay, the problem was eventually corrected, problem.

2.) fourth trainer was very difficult to deal with, used me as a second log book and even worse he pulled a placarded load on my drive line with no placards, he broke several company polices and didnt seem to care, as far as i know no corrective action was taken.

3.) after leaving #4 several hours away form home (thank god for family) the company didnt help reimburse any of the expenses getting home even after they found out #4 was not a good trainer, no corrective action was taken. .

4.) given impossible dispatches ( like making a 9 hour run in 7, just can not be done) then scolded as thou i had some involmmvement in there bad load planing, (third shift), mixed with a very bad attitude from a certain night dispatcher.

5.) and finally my qualcomm died i was fortunate it was at a terminal, took it to the shop to get it fixed while waiting on my load, the load was late i was told to break we would reschedule the next day ( i was told this by my day time fleet manager, who i will seriously miss, good guy and excellent manager) the night time fleet manager deciced to show off her less than professional side, currently working on a corrective action.

so im off to call my day time fleet manager as he asked my to call him, and see where we go from here
