I have been driving for Transport America now for 9 months. Starting as a brand new driver, I have had a great experience with them, as well as a couple of friends of mine who has started with them. You get good miles, good starting rate, pay more for driving placarded loads, and very safety conscious! I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

    OttMan and chimbotano Thank this.

Glad it's working out for you. Did you get your CDL through them, or did you do school?

They are a trucking company and do not offer CDL courses. I would not recomend taking a course through a company do to the contractual obligations.

Im enjoying being OTR. Currently Im OTR/midwest. My loads are mainly East of 35 to the East coast. My average milage weekly is from 2500-3000 while keeping a %100 ontime record.

Dedicated is a little different. Your home every weekenf for 34-48 hours. The account I was on gave me 1500-2000 miles weekly, although it paid a higher rate since it was a placarded account. . all accounts pay differently.

You can generally go dedicated not long after you start as long as you show a willingness to be ontime and safe.
