worst company to work for

You don't get the miles. They always say that the business is slow. It has been slow for the last 6 months. I have only been getting 1000 to 1500 miles a week. The recurters promiss you things that the company will not fullfill. Very high turn over rate. Because the miles are bad, and the pay is bad.

1000-1500??????

I worked for them during that slow period... My worst week was 2200 miles. my best was 3400 and still home every weekend as promised.

were ya asleep at the wheel or what? maybe a bad freight lane?

I ran alot of chicago to mn. and alot of chicago to pa. and alot of yeah... chicago to atlanta...

pa sucked because if you went there it was hard getting home they'd run you all week east coast...

Yes, TA does have multiple dedicated mid-west routes, among them: PPG, General Mills, Fed-Ex, KMart and a few others.

1500 miles a week? How many loads were you turning down? Bet you refuse loads to Canada, NYC, New Jersey or just hate the entire east coast!

I average 2600-3400 miles per week, even during slow periods. I do not dictate where I go, I just go where the freight is. I'm not here to be a professional tourist. I deliver freight and if that means NYC or Long Island, New England or New Jersey or Canada then that's where I go.

1500 miles a week? You definitely had some issues you failed to mention when you decided to bad mouth a company.

Would rather work for Swift

I worked for TA up until 2 weeks ago as an o/op.... 900 miles a week does NOT pay the truck payment. I did not even turn down a load. The staff at TA is rude, they talk to you like your a second class citizen. As far as freight being slow they need to look at who is running the place. They will be six feet under with in a year. I would never go back.

Wow... when someone says they would rather run for a company the likes of Swift, SOMETHING has GOT to be wrong... he he he!
