Storm NO contact? A sign of company compassion?

Ok, I know I'm new, I know that I'm totally rookie here. However, after I received like 9 pre-hires, I had decided that Transport America was a choice that I would be comfortable with (along with 3 others), and called the "recruiter". The guy I spoke to didn't have the info on HHG or Practical miles, or tuition reimbursement, and suggested I talked to the other "recruiter". Ok cool, no issue. Voicemailed him, left my info and asked him to get back to me so I could take the next steps.

This was a week ago, I've called all week, and sent emails to the email address shown on their site. No replies. Mind you now, My MVR is clean and good to go, have completed my school, and just ready to be put into an orientation/assesment status with a company. So I know it's not that they are blackballing me personally.

Is this a "crystal ball" view into the way that they will treat everyone? First impressions go both ways, and I know it won't affect them that I'm no longer considering them, because there are 500,001 other people out there with the dream in their eye over em.. What if I was on the road tho, and attempting to get through to em? voicemails unreturned? at the wheel of "recruiting" is a terrible sign!

If they blow you off when they would normally be trying to dazzle you that leads me to believe that when you are with them you will get more of the same. There could be an explanation tho. They might be on vacation or off for some reason, but I would be leery.

Transport America is not the only trucking company out there. If you feel that you have been let down because of a recruiter not calling back, Then go on and take another job offer with another company. The jobs just don't fall off the trees. You have to work at getting the job you want. If that is calling them 1 time or calling them 5 million times, keep working at it and things will work out at the end. Just remember, you will hit some bad times out there. Just keep your head up and don't think of the negitive things. Always think Positive. You will get through it alot better and have less worries about things. Trucking is not for boys and girls. Trucking is for the strong wheeled men and women that can take the hits and bruises and keep on trucking without crying or quiting.
