AOL Users READ This BEFORE You Try & Register!

AOL users are saying they do NOT get their e-mail after registering...this is AOL's fault and NOT ours. PLEASE tell AOL to allow this board to send you e-mails and all will be fine. AOL has problems with EVERY forum site, etc., we think it is some spam protection deal they must have going on. It is a well known problem and they still have not got it right. IF you are an AOL customer, it will take your complaints OR your leaving them until they change. Sorry for any problems, but please direct ANY problems if you are an AOL user and have not received your registration e-mail to AOL. Thanks again!

Re: AOL Users READ This BEFORE You Try & Register!

I had to go through a bunch of junk with AOL's postmaster because they mistakenly flagged my business DSL as a dial-up account and we're refusing all email out of my server. Normally I would say the heck with AOL but unfortunetly one of my clients runs an online shopping cart with customers using AOL email addresses.

EXACTLY, for some reason AOL has all kinds of problems like that...we've tried working with them, but they just cannot get it right I guess.

Re: AOL Users READ This BEFORE You Try & Register!

RoadKill,

I agree 100%. IF anyone knows ANYTHING about the net then they certainly do NOT use AOL. I think AOL is basically done for unless they drastically change. I, myself, despise them and their tactics. I refuse to deal with them as they cannot be dealt with.

I am soooo sorry for you IF you can only have AOL...I would do anything to get away from them at all costs. Countless times I have spoken to people who have, or have had AOL, and there is NOTHING good ever said about their experience with AOL UNLESS the user is new to the net and does not know what he/she is doing....

Their censorship of web sites is beyond belief. If the web site doesn't meet their approval, you will find it deleted. There is no freedom of speech on AOL.

EXACTLY. They WILL lose, IMHO, their company because of how they act...it is only a matter of time now UNLESS they stop being stupid that is...users that use AOL have a greatly reduced experience to say it nicely...

Oh yes they can go under...look at Enron.
