All right found another 1 on the general knowledge:
Stab Braking.....
A should never be used
B Involves locking the wheels
C Involves steady pressure on the brakes
D Should only be used on slick roads
I answered B the results said A .. I just downloaded a copy of the FL CDL handbook/study guide and it clearly states stab braking as an acceptable braking method that involves locking up the wheels.
Oh and not sure how long it takes corrections to take place, but the Hazmat load 1 still shows the incorrect answer.
Can't believe how much stuff I have remembered, and forgotten since getting my CDL.

critical issue
that is a something that should be made a "critical issue" ~ for those of us who have been in the field awhile such "questions" which are often written by someone who has not been pushing 10 hours a day for decades around such things as trucks and related become themselves safety issues
the only way to achieve results is to have each of the practice tests taken from the actual question pool for each state: Given that the knowledge is to be knowledge and thus what it is we are trying to achieve, the placement of the actual questions in "public domain" -{ which is to say making it available }- directly serves the purpose of the questions ~ if ( for example ) operation of the brake pedal in brief rapid pumps is called stab-braking and some nimrod thinks that is a bad question bcs it uses the word stab, then we have to give that response for that state
to do this deteriorates public-safety as "skip-around" thinking is thus forced on test-takers (drivers) who thence discount the utility and value of the questions, the result being driving may not be affected but effective operation is not the same as test questions,.......we have to have the practice questions from the actual question pool and if I could have gotten them already I would have taken the written today, I already have my DOT Physical and am life-threatening $-situation so living in a frack-water tanker cab sounds very appealing to me right now
I would scare too many people if I told them what I am actually under right now, we need to have the questions to be from the actual question pool = there is no justification for otherwiseLast edited by nicholas_jordan; 05.22.2012 at 07.18 PM. Reason:: clarity
