Blog subscription notification

Pardon me if I'm incorrect, but it appears that blogs are setup as follows: a person can subscribe to a blog entry and get notification through E mail that the blog has been updated (with new comments). Unfortunately, it appears that this notification applies to only one blog entry within a member's blog space and does not include notification that a new blog entry has has gone live.

I think this is a problem. I view blogs as a continuing story, updated continually with new entries. My friends and family are reading my blog which I will constantly update with new entries, and they are subscribed (via E mail notification), yet they are telling me that they get no E mail notifying them that I've written a new entry.

Can this be changed so that notifications include new blogs? Thank you, and thanks for a terrific forum.

Ok, when I go to subscribe to your blog, there are two options.

Notifications: 1. Through my control panel only

2. Instant notification by email

I've selected number 2, can you post a test blog so that I can see if I get the notification?

I did get the email notification for it. So if you are subscribing to someones blog and wish to get new notifications, you need to select the instant notification by email option. Then it will send the email out when a new entry is submitted.

Yeah, that can be changed by unsubscribing and then resubscribing to the blog.
