Message To Burky

Dear Bulky I just wanted to thank you for your advice on trying bulk n tanker hauling after being hurt in the industry. If you recall I was hurt and did not work for three years, do to my back injury. I taught students how to drive and get their CDL for the last year at a local driving school. I missed the road and the money, I was making for the last 12years before I got hurt being a chicken hauler. I started my new job a week ago for a local Bulk company, and have to tell you I love it so far. I drive a new Pete day cab and Iam home every night. It is not anywhere as laybor intensive as unloading refer everyday. If it was not for your advice I would not have consider Bulk. Thank You THE KEYSTONE KID

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I find it a most rewarding form of trucking to do. There is some work involved that bothers some people, like climbing on top of trailers or railcars, and you do have to handle hoses and sometimes are outslde in less than pleasant weather. But overall, I can;t imagine a better way to make a living. Glad it's all turned out good for you.

It feels good to do alittle work again, and not having to bust your #$% doing it. As for the weather nothing, a good rain suit or dressing warm cant take care of. Thanks Bulky

Here's my good deed/tip for the day. If you find yourself in need of a rainsuit, spend the extra money and get a Goretex suit. You can weqar it outdoors in the middle of summer and not sweat due to the suit. I've had one for years, and it's one of the smartest investments I ever made. Ran me about 80 bucks when I bought it 10-11 years ago, but it's paid for itself in comfort many times over.

You are right about that. I have one for when I fish Bass tournaments, and it works great for warm n cold weather. I also learned about a good set of ear muffs, I use the ones I have for the Rifle range.
