Recently we are seeing many posts with words contained in them that are meant to skirt the word filter. The staff's time is being taken up by editing posts and quotes with those in them.

Let me remind you all that the filter is there for a reason, and the staff is going to get harder on those that are using measures to skirt it.

So for those that continue to skirt the filter without regard to the rules here, expect to get an infraction in your in box.

If anyone has any questions, you can post them here, but I want to make it very clear, if you have to use stars, pound signs or any other character to add a word to your post, then its in violation of the rules and you will receive an infraction.

For those that want to post in this thread that they feel we are over moderating the site, let me just say this:

We are the most informative and professional site on the internet for drivers. We intent to continue that and keep the TTR members image in a professional light here. If you feel you cannot follow these rules, there are other sites that allow that type of behavior. TTR is NOT one of them.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in this matter.

9/10 of this forum is nothing but complaining and whining from drivers about one company or another, many of whom have not even been employed by the companies with whom they have grievances. The idea that censoring profanity (or anything else) is going to somehow shine a professional and dignified light on unprofessional babies who cry about everything that doesn't go their way is laughable at best.

I think she means things like separating letters to say the word and not get the stars for example, sh ip. I think you can see what I mean. I say that as I am guilty of it but will now stop.

If it is intended to mimic a profane word, using numbers, stars, or even other letters with the same or close sound, and can be perceived as a profane word then its not OK to post it. This includes any images with those types of words in them.

I do not agree with that.

I do agree that not allowing profanity, blatant or masked, is a most basic start to raising the professional appearance of the forum and it's members.
