Server Hiccups 9/4/2014

Hey folks, we had an unexpected server restart a few hours ago, and now we're doing some minor maintenance items to address that issue. The site might go down for a few minutes here and there this evening. If you're planning to write any super long posts, please keep a copy on your computer in case you submit the post while the server is restarting.

Update 7pm EDT on 9/6: We have to make several substantial upgrades to the site infrastructure to resolve security vulnerabilities and increase performance. Currently, we're implementing these changes on our test server to make sure it works. In the evening of 9/6 or the morning of 9/7 we'll be taking the forum down for several hours to implement the changes on the public server.

Update 4am EDT on 9/7: Upgrades completed, forum online.
