I worked for the big white truck company and asked for a new mattress when I got my truck. The Dm said he would get me one. I had to go to phoenix the 4th day out pulled in he called Me and said to get it there they had one. yup got one no problem. the original had a vinyl cover on it so I had cleaned it really good anyway. when they took it out they threw the old one away. I watched. Not bad for a junk company as people say!

The trucking company is required to give you a new mattress if you are a company driver. There's also a thread on here about some guys that started a new custom mattress business. They are supposed to be really good mattress'. If I can find it on here I will pm you their names.

don't know if this would apply here or not, but I just "built" a memory foam mattress online with a latex topper to lessen the heat buildup that comes with foam. I got the whole setup at foam by mail. I can't post the link (rules for newbies)Google it. The site is a bit confusing but you can just enter the size you want and they will cut whatever your looking for.

    Worked for me at home,

I'm not affiliated in any way, shape or form with above company. I Just spent some money there and you may as well sleep good if you can't be home!

I'm gonna kick this thread up here.
I'm lookin for a 42x80 mattress for my KW. The KW dealer has an innerspace model for $148 and I have found some memory foam beds for $400 and up. I'm looking for something in between.

I'm looking for an actual 42x80 vs one of those dorm singles, in order to take full advantage of the sleeper berth size it will take.

I bought a x long twin (38x80) for my 379. It's memory foam and it's a big improvement over the peterbilt mattress. I think it was right around $300.

I can comment on Hanadarko's mattress post. It sleeps good, but I have a portable TV dinner table I use in the truck. I sit on the mattress and put the laptop on the table. So that spot gets alot of use. The mattress has a pot hole where I sit, but the inner part where I sleep holds it's shape.

The factory Peterbilt mattress I had actually had a spring sticking out where I sat.

It's hard to find a good one. I guess you get what you pay for.

It amazes me how they can fit them mattresses in a little bag rolled up.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.
