Jubitz... Just spent a flawless 36 hours at Jubitz/ Portlander Inn. Only one complaint that I've mentioned to the front desk:
The ethernet cabled internet service is TOO SLOW.
Otherwise, flawless services with the hotel van, front desk at the Inn, Moe's (sandwich bar), convenience store, restaurant, laundromat, scale and fuel desk.
Keep up the good work.

Lmaoooooo!! You said it! It seems to be a generational thing these days. Someone will spend a lifetime building up a business, staff it with good, (at least somewhat) intelligent, courteous people, then it gets handed off the the owner's kids, family, or sold to a big corporation, then its quickly goes to hell.
On that note, Pilot's real corporate motto should be "we #### up every place we take over".

I've been going to Jubitz for the last 4 years since I started running west. It is still my favorite truckstop. I've never had a bad time at Jubitz.

whenever, and its very very rare, we go to a dennys i first let the server know that dennys knows my name and they dont like to hear from me. yes, i do fire off emails to corporate headquarters. i even send good ones when the service has been especially good. so lets keep those cards and letters going, and maybe some of these palces will finally get the hint!

I guess we also should remember that all humans make mistakes, and everyone has a bad day, so you don't need to jump all over someone that has made a mistake. Do like blackw900, give them the benefit of doubt the first time. I know people that go through life just waiting on a waitress or waiter to make a mistake. I would never approach a waiter or waitress with the threat of complaining to management first thing off the bat, how do we feel when we are approached like that, does that make you want to do a really good job??

I just spent 3 days at Jubitz and agree that the food is not as good as it used to be and high priced.
Overall I still think that it's one of the nicest truck stops we have and it was really handy to do my DOT Medical at a truck stop but $5.95 for a sandwich at the fuel desk convenience store??? That's insane!
