AMBest - Charges you top $$$ for fueling yet they're possibly the worst in the business. They "always forget" to add the fuel points to your card, ....somehow. Interesting, right?

I've never had ambest not add my points. Interesting.

It's only fair I update my AmBest No-Mo post. AmBest corporate office responded on Monday after they heard my voicemail. This prompt response was refreshing and a clear sign that they care. They were quick to appologize for any incovinience caused and agreed that the attendant should have provided with a shower, specially after showing her a receipt of fulling at the previous AmBest Stop. They asured me to address the issue with Jim's Truck Stop in NY to avoid any future reoccurance and added a few point to my card as a gesture of costumer appreciation. AmBest did not lose me as a costumer this time, so i will continue to use them in the future.

I will always report situations like this and hope you're too. Costumer service is very important since with live on the road and so very depend from it. Always make that call and explain the situation. it's worth it.

I don't think the showers have been cleaned since they were built. You've never seen a more brilliant display of mold colors !

Now this is going back to 2003 since I was last in, but I admit I was a regular from '93 to '03 .... why ? Well because I've got a strong stomach and thick flip flops ..... AND the place was always empty so there was no wait.

...... oh, and there is a bar in the Inn !

Dont forget the canaan ny ambest of i90 at the massachussets line. Used to have a decent deli and showers, but since a couple of years ago they started charging 23 dollars a night unless you buy 50 gallons of fuel, and they've adopted a really ####y attitude.

has anyone been to mikes truckstop before the cleaned it up.I don't live far from there so I never had the privledge of taking a shower there. Anyway,before they remodeled it ,when the old man owned it,you may have wanted to wear waders in the shower.I don't think they ever cleaned them since the place was new and I couldn't tell you when that was,pre 1960 I think. Yuk what a dung hole. I don't know if its improved any,I hope so.

The mike's truckstop near foxboro, mass? I remember they tore the old on down, built the current one but never added showers, but used to have a nice big parking lot across the street. Since then they severely shrunk the lot(they closed much of the lot off and never did anthing with it), charge 8-10 bucks to park there, and they put a shower trailer(really raunchy)in, and whateve parking is left, its a far walk just to cross the road just to get near the place.

thats the place.Like I stated,I'm glad I omly live about 10 miles from there because I would never,I wouldn't even think of it,take a shower there.
