So I settled in tonight for a light dinner and a movie. Rented a movie from the Blockbuster Kiosk out front at the Love's here in Gary IN. Went to the Denny's and got a to go order of their 3 Dips n Chips. I've had this item before at another Denny's at the Birmingham FlyingPilot.
(..Flying Peelot? Hmm, I may have started something here, but I digress)
3 Dips and chips! Spinach/artichoke, queso con carne and salsa. All great, all tasty. That's what I had in Birmingham and that's what I wanted again tonight.
Got back to the truck.
Container one - Salsa. yay!
Container two - Queso con carne. Yay!
Container three - ....marinara?
Now who in their right mind dips tortilla chips into marinara sauce? Plus it was supposed to be spinach and artichoke dip, not marinara!
I didn't bother going back inside. I just complained at the corporate level.
This reminds me an incident at a FlyingJ in PA. Trying out this new appetizer that was a deep fried broccoli and cheese bites. Well, I guess the grease was too hot or something but while frying they broke open and all the insides leaked out. The waitress (and cook on duty) had the nerve to serve me 5 empty shells with a side of ketchup and ask me "Is this okay or do you want the chef to make them again?"
Oy vey......
