MSN had an article last year on the 10 most unhealtiest places to eat. Denny's was #1!
You wanna get fat or fatter, frequent Denny's with their high fat, high calorie menu. -
Funny thing, there used to be a few Denney's that I actually DID like to stop at. But when they changed their menu a couple of years or so ago, they just killed any desire I had to go there.
I know folks used to snivel, whine and moan about the restaurants at the hook, but most of the ones that I hit, at least on a regular basis were fairly good. The thing is that ANYPLACE gets old when you eat at it often enough.
And then when you run into some of the help that seem to be prevalent at Denney's anymore. . .HFC Thanks this. -
There's a good Denny's at the fuel stop at Lamar, Mo. I used to eat there a bunch when I was hauling grain running up and down US 71. I remember when Howard Johnson's was a pretty good place to eat and then I started running across the NY Thruway and found out just how bad cooks could really screw a place up. I will admit I've eaten in some bad Denny's to but most chains are that way. Some in certain areas of the country are really good and then you get to another area and they couldn't fix a decent bowl of Rice Krispies.

some of you saying that denny's prices are to high apparently didnt ever eat the flying j restaurants, talk about high prices and the service always sucked, the slowest place to get a meal was a flying j resaurant.
the 2, 4, 6 and 8 dollar menu cant be at beat dennys.
it is apparent some of you are parrots, just repeat what ya hear.
and for the clown that said flying j changed their menu often, that is a funny deal right there , LOL -
It's just about impossible to order a nutritious meal at a Denny's
You can't get soup & salad late at night.
Their cheap meals are horrible tasting and totally unhealthy, anything even remotely better is way over priced.
Denny's is the Black & Decker of restaurants.
What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that the buffet is often the healthiest food in the restaurant. It's all in the choices you make while you're there. I could always eat well at a Flying J buffet.
I make no attempt to eat cheap on the road. I will pay well for a well prepared, healthy meal. I just wish it was easier to find places serving them. -
On the right side of the road, it's Ruther Glen ... on the left side of the road, it's Carmel Church using a map with a north orientation.
Denny's at the Flying Peelot (that replaced the BUFFET at the Country Market restuarant at the Flying J) does not have a buffet. It's off the menu.
This is the last area of T/S's if you are approaching Washington, DC from the south.Last edited: Feb 22, 2011
