Pilot/Flying J showers...

I agree, I'm really surprised many folks have not gotten Mersa...

 

Flying J showers are usually pretty good. They've been working at keeping up their standards despite having Pilot came in and cut their staff. It's not easy to clean the showers when there are 3 people working, 2 at the register and one in the back making pizzas.

 

Speaking as someone who has to clean restrooms on a daily basis (campground, not truckstop or gas station)...it's not just "truck drivers" who mess up showers and toilets...it's the whole general population that doesn't give a darn about what condition they leave a restroom in because they aren't the ones cleaning it. We clean our restrooms (10 separate restroom buildings with a total of 56 toilets, 24 shower stalls, 37 sinks) daily, stock toilet paper in each and every stall every day, and ensure that the restroom is clean and in good general condition (trashcans empty, shower curtains intact). People don't flush. Drunks take dumps in the showers or on the floor in the middle of the bathhouse. People pull all the toilet paper off a roll and throw it all over the restroom. People pick up their feces and smear it on the walls and throw it on the ceiling. Worse than animals...

 

I worked at a campground for the camping season last summer/fall and you are 100% correct.People are horribly disgusting in all settings but we do seem to have an overwhelming number of those nasty slobs living among us out here on the road.

 

People are amazingly lazy, I stopped for fuel the other day and when I got out of the truck theres a P-bottle laying by the pump, not more than 10 feet away sites a trash can! As far as showers go ,I probably leave them cleaner than when I entered because I Lysol everything before I start, I don't trust the underpayed help to be concerned about me catching something.

 

I found toe nail clippings in shower 2 at the pontoon beach, il flying hook. let the manager know and he comped me a meal at the dennys, added a shower back to my card and got me a clean showered

 

wow toe nail clippings really? those things must of looked like horse shoe clippings

 

This is something that I have never figured out. Why go to the toilet when there are empty urinals. If you insist on using the toilet, either lift the lid or sit down and pee! Nasty ### truckers!
