Does any one take their baseball glove/football and get a little excercise w other truckers in at any rest stops, especially those w grassy fields, or would that be a waste of truck space. Just wondering since I will be new to trucking soon.

My opinion is a waste of space. you really don't get a lot of free time. when you stop shower shave sleep and whatever its time to go again. now when you do a 34 you may have some time, but if you run correctly and at a good clip you will be doing those at home or not at all. again this is from my experience

I was more concerned about finding ways of staying fit and healthy while passing ten or 15 minutes, not that theres anything wrong with being bi gay or lesbian, but thanks for your input and I feel sorry for you that homo fobia is the first thing that comes to your mind. Maybe you should check that site.

Good luck finding someone to play catch with. There are a lot of socially inept drivers who wouldn't know how to handle an offer for doing anything other than sitting in a truck complaining. And watch your step in those green fields. Too many drivers are too fat and lazy to bend over and clean up after their mutts.

Thanks biscuit, I certainly will watch out for those piles of dog mess, I guess I will scratch the baseball/football idea for until my boy is old enough to ride along with me.

Sorry fishinbub my dog died today and I was feeling like crap when I posted that forgive my prickish wayzzz....the only thing I can think of to stay in shape you can install a bike rack in front or behind your cab its actually pretty common to see drivers carry their bikes. Or you can pull a flatbed.

Don't sweat it, carrying a bike sounds like a good idea for many reasons, I will just have to wait and see how it would work out. Also I've been considering flatbeds, I think it would be a good transition into trucking from driving a rough riding landscape truck (isuzu cabobover GVWR 12,000)
