Hey everyone I am new to this. My husband got to the Flying J in Winslow, AZ tonight and met a Trucker there that has had some unfortunite problems. His truck was repossesed because the owner of the small company he drives for had gotton a divorce and the judge awarded the wife all of the company trucks. He is looking for a ride from Winslow, AZ to Oklahoma city, OK so he can catch a plane back home. He has a fiance waiting for him to get there because they are suppose to be getting married in the next couple weeks. He is stranded and my husband felt so bad for the guy, but unfortunitly my husband isn't going to Oklahoma city and can't help him. So if there are any truckers that are going to be passing through and might want to help, he is there at the flying J, I will find out what the guys name is first thing in the A.M., Im sure if you ask an employee or another trucker they can point him out. Thank you all and God Bless

Really? I'm allowed on my husband's truck because we fill out a form, provide my license and cover me with insurance.
We will never pick up hitch-hikers. -
SCAM!!! Tell your hubby to stop listening to truck stop scam stories..that one is pretty old!! The guy is looking for a victim to rob or a free ride. Those scammers also use the excuse that they had to have a tire replaced or other work done and their truck is in impound for not having enough to pay the bill. I mean think about it..the guy is that far away from home..so the ex traveled all that way to pick up his truck? Not to mention he doesnt have enough money to get home but he has enough to get married??? Really?

I can't believe any of this is a question.
No money from the truck -ever. -

When ever I hear these sob stories in person or on the CB, I must correct them. They are NOT a Driver looking for a ride, they are a "used to be" driver, and that simple fact, by either their doing or some one elses, has put them in that circumstance.
I always say no to beggars in truckstops, none are to be trusted. -
Looks legit to me...LSAgentOZR Thanks this. -
